Searching Copart and I come across this

Kinja'd!!!

The damage in the picture is the only noticeable body damage. So how the hell does this happen with only the damage seen here in the picture?

Edit: I should clarify, I am not talking about the wheel, but the misaligned bed and cab and the link !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

I’d guess the cab was removed from the frame sometime after the damage occurred (probably to assess the extent) and just plopped back on.

That seems like a lot of work instead for just crawling underneath it, but still seems the most plausible theory

Bros. That’s how that happens.

Also, Duramaxes are notorious for having front end issues.

Search the location and see if you can find the car it rear ended and ran over.

The impact must have happened on the front, and judging by the limited amount of BODY damage, I kinda want to say that it was something with a very low front end.

That bed tho! It’s so far out of whack in relation to the cab. The rear wheels look like they’re in the right place according to the bed, and the RF wheel looks like it hasn’t moved in relation to the cab. Pretty sure the whole frame is bent.

I want to say that the other car was going FAST. There might have even been a heavy load in the bed to weigh it down while the front end shifted over. Damn.

Without seeing that from a side view it’s tough to even guess what happened there.

Sometimes, late at night, I sneak out and mess up vehicles in random ways. A blow torch and hammer and a few beers are all I need.

Too much weight from the stickers bent the frame.

Those truck have so much weight in the front end. Hitting something solid it wouldn’t take much to bend a frame.

I’ve heard of guys tweaking the frame up in the front after hitting the ditch with a diesel.

I would guess the bed thing happened the same way as the front wheels. Sliding very quickly into a curb.

My search came up with the following details: Teenage driver in single car accident and the Middleton, WI police came out and filed a report (I’m not paying for it and I sure as hell can’t expense that on my company dime without raising flags). It happened on 12/19/2016 @5:45pm and the kid’s dad (owner and PNI) has an insurance company that rhymes with “Rate Barn”. On the report we get (ISO report, most major insurance companies share info) the cause only says “other”. I’m guessing some sort of hoonage based upon the condition of the vehicle. I was hoping it was my company that insured the vehicle, because then I would have all the juicy details for you. Sorry!

Thanks for what you got though. I’m guessing maybe high speed run into a ditch or concrete divider. Impact twists the frame and we get what we see here
